“Bryson Engelstad & Co., P.C. (BEC) is a CPA firm serving the needs of businesses and their owners. Although, most of our clients are located primarily in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area, we provide services to clients whose travel takes them to other states and even to locations outside the United States.
BEC has its roots in a firm established in 1989 by Susan Tillman and Sue Engelstad. The firm has undergone many changes since its inception. However, the one overriding common thread that began in 1989 and that continues today is the firm’s commitment to our clients and their business, tax and financial needs.
We work closely with the legal and financial advisors of our clients in a team approach. We believe that working as a team, utilizing the collective experience of the separate disciplines, provides the most beneficial result.

Charles H. Bryson II, CPA

Chuck is the managing member of the firm and is therefore responsible for the administrative matters of the practice. Chuck has extensive experience in working with business owners in a wide variety of industries such as construction, manufacturing, professional practices, retirement plans, and non-profits. Chuck frequently speaks on the tax and business topics to other CPA’s and business owners. Chuck’s strong point is his objectivity and his ability to understand both sides of opposing views which then allows him to mediate disputes among business owners and family members.
Experience prior to BEC Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Chuck worked with local CPA firms since his graduation from college in 1984. Chuck has a wide variety of experience covering all phases of the life cycle of a business.

Sue is a founding member of the firm. Her breadth of experience makes her a trusted friend and advisor to the firm’s clients. Sue has extensive experience advising business owners and corporate executives.
Sue has the admirable trait of being very responsive and accessible to her clients. As a result, she is a much sought-after advisor of the firm’s clients.
Experience prior to BEC Prior to founding the firm, Sue worked with a financial advisory firm where her responsibilities included tax compliance and planning for Fortune 1000 executives; preparation of real estate, research & development, oil and gas partnerships; and staff training of in-house CPA’s and financial advisors; maintained books and records of small to medium sized enterprises including preparation of payroll and sales tax reports.

Larry, through his firm, Lawrence E. Van Zetten, PC, provides services to BEC primarily during tax season, and other times during the year. Larry brings a wealth of experience to the firm in all areas but especially in financial statement audits and oil & gas taxation.
Experience prior to BEC
Prior to contracting his services to the firm, Larry practiced public accounting with various firms in positions ranging from staff accountant to partner.

| Lori has been with the firm since 2004 and provides accounting, payroll and sales tax services for the firm’s clients. Lori spends her free time doing volunteer work, playing tennis, playing the cello and cycling. |

Lorie G. Lowenthal, Senior Accountant

Lorie provides a variety of services for our clients including tax preparation for small businesses, individuals and nonprofits. She also has experience in bookkeeping, sales tax and use tax, and payroll. In addition to providing services for BEC clients, Lorie manages to balance the remainder of her time with her family and working at a local nonprofit organization.
Experience prior to BEC Prior to joining the firm, Lorie practiced public accounting with various firms in positions ranging from staff accountant to office manager. She even managed a retail store. Lorie brings valuable experience to BEC and the clients she serves.

Quinn M. Robinson, Office Manager

Quinn joined BEC in December 2007 to keep the BEC house in order. She brings over three years of experience in managing an office of CPAs. Quinn is proficient in a variety of software applications useful to our firm and will help BEC continue in the efficient use of technology over the years.
